The most economical way to build a log structure to get a good amount of square footage is to build up. We do log floor joists for lofts and second floors. They can be open to the areas below or walled off for privacy.  Dormers add head room to lofts and second floors to provide more space.

Dillon StairInterior walls and vaulted ceilings that are not log can be sheetrock or tongue and grove. Your home will be unique to you and reflect your desires and tastes.  Your choices for interior and exterior finishes will affect the final costs and the appearance you want.

We have several sources for log stairways and railings, log mantels, log siding for gable ends and log furniture.  We can refer you to general contractors and finish carpenters experienced in log building.  An excellent general contractor for log homes:
